Beautiful summer day at the tugtupite mines

The lake was too good to be true. After all, it was summer in the mountains and for a veteran backpacker like me that meant swimming! I walked down past the older tugtupite mine dumps, around the side of the lake, far across to the other side as seen in this picture. The water was cold, obviously, but not as bad as a few other places I've swum, in particular Loch Ness and also Iceberg Lake in the High Sierras of California.
