There will be a new selection process to pick the 2011 Mars Scout. I have no artwork of the actual candidates but possibly some of the losing 2007 candidate missions will try again so I am including them here. All of these scenes represent possible Scout-type missions. Stay tuned for the actual 2011 scout mission proposals! |

| In 2011 NASA will launch the next Mars Scout. A selection process will choose one finalist. MARVEL is short for "Mars Volcanic Emission and Life" | ARES (my version). It's full name is "Aerial Regional-scale Environmental Survey of Mars". This proposal was one of the final four but wasn't selected for 2007. Perhaps it will try again in 2011. |
