Space, the final frontier?

It has been said that space is the final frontier. The infinite universe is so big it's hard to comprehend. But what about time? Does the human race ever stop to consider just how vast the age of the universe is? That's a lot of time to account for. And just how much do we really know about the eons and eons of time since our solar system and our planet Earth first formed?
