I've been creating NASA JPL mission art now for 25 years.

I've created most of the Mars Exploration Program artwork since 1998. I've also created many other planetary mission images to the Moon, Venus, Jupiter & Europa, Saturn and Titan and Enceladus, Neptune and Triton, Vesta, Ceres, Psyche and Itokawa asteroids and for comet missions. In addition I created artwork for two Earth missions and two Astrophysics missions. Some of these missions were proposed but not flown.

My Mars Life Explorer pic was included in the Planetary Science and Astrobiology Decadal Survey 2023-2032. Mars Life Explorer was recommended as the highest priority Mars mission to be accomplished.

The Decadal Survey is created by the Space Board of the National Research Council of the National Academies of Science.

Earth Missions

2022: NASA selected INCUS to be the Earth Venture 3 mission. I created the artwork.

INCUS stands for Investigation of Convective Updrafts. It's planned for launch in 2027.

3 Time VERITAS Venus Mission Artist

I was the artist for the VERITAS Venus mission all 3 times it was proposed until it was finally selected by NASA to be one of the next Discovery Program missions in 2021.

Pic on the right was at the Athenaeum Caltech Faculty Club for the VOX Venus Origins Explorer New Frontiers 4 Step 1 proposal delivery celebration, April 27, 2017.

VERITAS is the fourth Discovery Program mission I created artwork for that was selected to fly by NASA.

Selected News Headlines With My Mission Art

I created the cover scene for this book published in 2022 titled "Vesta and Ceres: Insights from the Dawn Mission for the Origin of the Solar System" working with co-author Dr. Carol Raymond. My name is included in the credits and is actually included on the back cover.

Carol is a principal scientist at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She was the Deputy Principal investigator for the Dawn mission and became the Principal Investigator during the extended mission.
