Selected Tales from the Waste family travels for Bechtel Corporation

My family is from Marin County, California in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Bechtel Corporation is based. Bechtel is a giant in the construction industry and my grandfather Bill Waste played an important part in the company as Executive Vice-President. Soon after my parents were married they began their travels for Bechtel. Some Bechtel families probably have to move even more than military families. Looking back now, it's hard to believe that we did most all of this before I was 10 years old! Here's a brief account of what it was like for my family from 1954 to 1964. The members of my family are: father Jim Waste, mother Marilyn Waste, brothers Steve Waste and Jamie Waste, and sisters Shawn Waste Hacker and Tenby Wright (Tenby Waste). My family is all alive and well except for my Dad who passed away at age 90 in November 2019. Lastly, I'd like to say how proud I am to have been associated with the Bechtel family and company - thanks for these memories!
